Over-confidence can lead you into sin

Over-confidence is something that leads some Christians into sin. There are certain sins that these Christians believe that they are too good to fall into. Some people would watch r-rated sexual movies because they believe that these movies have no effect on them. it does not lead them to lustful thinking, it does not lead them to fornication, it does not lead them to sin pretty much. However, the truth is this, sin does not happen overnight. Sin takes time to penetrate you well before it becomes a time bomb. You allow in one sin and before you know it, it explodes. Repeated exposure to even a sin that you think you cannot fall for would make you prone to falling into that sin. Over that prolonged period, that sin would have had the time to manifest itself. Yes sure, it might not happen in one day, but one day would lead to another day, and another day to another day, before you know it, the day of a serious sin would come knocking

“Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall” – 1 Corinthians 10:12

  1. Betty Jo/ The Journey says:

I strongly agree with you. In Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. And it goes on in (v.9-21) what all the flesh can do. God Bless!! 🙂
