Christ-centered ruminations

Here we discuss a variety of issues in light of scripture and experience

Should a Christian partake in Halloween?

Hello friends.

It has been a few days since I posted anything on here.

This time around, I am not posting anything. Rather, I am asking a question to all my Christian followers. Do you partake in Halloween?

Many people have mentioned that the Halloween holiday is tied to demons and demonic acts. I googled it and found that it does have pagan roots. However, what is your take on Halloween? If you are okay with Halloween, what is your take on the costumes, do you think people take things too far in this regard?

Let us get the conversation started in the comments section!

    1. Hello brother David. From what I read, the article explained that some people from the past used to make bonfires and dress up to ward off ghosts. They believed that during the Halloween period, that the realm of the living and the dead became closer and the ghost of their dead ones came back. I did read that a certain reverend father made a Christian holiday around the same period, and he called it Hallows eve and afterwards it was called Halloween. However, the actual roots are pagan. Does it have Christian roots?

Whether or not one calls that Christian roots, I cannot debate.

I understand from the modern 66 books of the “Christian” Bible God originally had Holy Days.

For the most part those were replaced by “Christian” Holy Days, from my general research.

But God, He is Faithful and True, to keep His servants. In Jesus Christ, we were bought and redeemed!

If I am the weaker brother or not, I do not want to be a stumbling block.

To our King Jesus, God Bless!
