What kind of seed are you?

Dear Brethren, I hope this message meets you well. In Today’s post, I want to talk about different types of Christians. I do believe that the book of Matthew says it best, so I would directly let the Book of Matthew do the talking.

The Bible says in Matthew 13:18-23 (New Living Translation)

18 “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: 19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. 20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. 23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

As much as I hate to admit it, I think many Christians are actually the seeds that fell among the thorns. Many Christians do believe in God, but they are too worried about this life, and how busy things can get here, that they forget that our purpose here is actually not for our boss, or our spouses etc. but for the lord. Brethren, we always need to try to put God first and make God a priority, everything else from the world that seeks to steal our time by keeping us busy is simply a distraction. God is a priority, and we need to pray to him to give us the wisdom to know how to put him first in everything. We need to develop deep roots and try to truly hear and understand God’s word.

Father, I pray for every person reading this blog, myself included. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you give us the discernment to know how to navigate this world, while staying true to your purpose and calling for us. I pray that you give us wisdom and direction, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Before you go, I have an exciting announcement to make, I recently published a prayer journal, a gratitude journal and a prayer list book, which you can now buy on Amazon. Here are the Links:
