Dear Priest, Be Confident!

Dear Brethren, I hope this message meets you well. Today, I want to talk about confidence. We live in a world that is constantly benefiting from our insecurities. A world that tells us that to be beautiful in its eyes, we have to conform to its standards and become worldly. Our confidence comes not from societal ideas or from what the world says about us, it comes from the Lord.

The Bible says in Psalm 139:13-16 (New Living Translation):

¹³ You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
    and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
¹⁴ Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
    Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
¹⁵ You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
    as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
¹⁶ You saw me before I was born.
    Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
    before a single day had passed.

There are people who feel as if no one cares about them. They feel alone, they feel lonely, and have no friends. To those people, God cares about you. God put all this effort into creating you, he watched you since the time you were born until now, so yes, somebody does care about you, and that somebody is a God who never fails us.

The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 (New International Version)

⁹ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Therefore Brethren, let us thank the Lord for his works. We are a royal priesthood, and our souls have escaped from the shackles of worldly darkness. We are priests, we are redeemed. I pray that the love of God would remain with us, and his glory would sustain us. I pray that we and our loved ones remain in God’s book of life in the name of Jesus, Amen.
