In this day and age, I see women giving a lot to their boyfriends. Many girls move in with their boyfriends, cook for them, clean up after them, have sexual relations with them, and sometimes, even have children for them. Now, I am not trying to blame the women here, because I understand that society has a way of blaming the women for everything. However, we do need to discuss this issue. Biblically speaking, the only man who has a right to all of these things is your husband. Now I can understand cooking and maybe cleaning for a boyfriend out of the goodness of your heart. However, sexual relations and living intimately with a man is a benefit that should be reserved for your husband. These days, I find that a lot of men are suddenly lazy when it comes to marriage. I was speaking to a man once and he told me that some men no longer see the point in being married when they can just make their girlfriend a baby mama and have children with her. Yes, I understand that marriages can be somewhat expensive. However, the amount of money that one chooses to spend on a marriage is totally up to them. You can choose to simply take your vows and do a registry wedding without a huge celebration. You see marriage is a ceremony before man and before GOD. It is important. A man who you cook for, clean for, sleep with and have children for WILL NOT MARRY YOU. He already gets everything that a wife will give from you without giving you the ring, so giving you the ring will not change anything. When men feel like marriage will not change anything, they have a tendency to sometimes shy away from it. The boyfriend / girlfriend phase is a testing phase, a phase where you check to see if the person you are dating is someone that you can marry. If anything during this phase, show him that you are marriage material, but let him know that he would need to marry you to unlock the real wife benefits. Ladies, we need to level up, and may God be with us as we do so.
