4 KEYS TO HEARING GOD’S VOICE 🗣️
👀 1. By Vision: vision happens a lot during prayer. Before praying, you need to ask God “God, what do you have in mind to reveal to me“. He might not always show you something but sometimes he will. As you are praying, you need to be looking for vision. Many people simply close their eyes and pray with zero expectation for vision. Keep checking to see if God is saying anything or showing you anything. There are three types of visions. (a) inner vision (b) open vision (c) trance. 💤 2. Dreams: God speaks to us through dreams sometimes. So, it pays to keep a record of your dreams and have a dream journal. Bear in mind that not all dreams come from God. Some come from the devil and some come from your mind, but God does communicate via dreams. Keep a dream journal and keep track of the dreams and revelations that you have from God and take note of when they are being fulfilled
🔕 3. During Quiet Times: You need to be still when trying to hear God’s voice. Have a quiet time where you focus on God and on the things of God. Shut out all disturbing thoughts and focus on God. Be still. Quiet yourself so that you can hear God’s voice.
4. Spontaneity: God will sometimes drop something in your mind spontaneously. Is it unlike you to think of things like that? Does it fall in line with the word of God? If yes to both of these questions, then it could well be God.
5 WAYS TO KNOW IF YOU ARE HEARING GOD’S VOICE FOR SURE
How do you know if you are hearing God’s voice for sure, not your voice or that of the devil:
🤔 1. Do you expect to hear from God right now? Did you ask him to speak to you?
🤔 2. Did what you hear feel good with your spirit, or is it in conflict with your spirit? if you are a believer then there is a holy spirit within you and it will connect to God’s spirit and you will know for sure that it is God. If the spirit does not connect, then it is not God.
🤔 3. Is God talking to you the way that he usually does? or does he seem awkwardly different?
🤔 4. Is what you are hearing in line with the word of God? God would never tell you anything that is opposed to scripture. This is a powerful way to know if you are hearing from God. Sometimes God will speak in a different way or speak when you are not expecting him to. However, he will never say anything contrary to his word.
🙏🏾 5. If you cannot find a reference in the Bible, then ask other believers to pray with you and to seek God’s face for you. Do they see the same thing that you see? are they hearing the same message.
